Three Japanese companies to start on joint-venture Long Duc Industrial Park

Long Duc Investment Corporation begins construction of an industrial park (IP) in the southern province of Dong Nai.
Long Duc Investment Corporation, a Vietnam-Japan joint venture, begins construction of an industrial park (IP) in the southern province of Dong Nai on March 19.

The company is a joint venture between three Japanese companies – Sojitz Corporation, Daiwa House Industry, Kobelco Eco-Solution and Vietnam’s Donafood. The Japanese partners hold a combined stake of 88% in the joint venture.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr Atsushi Uehara, General Director of Long Duc, said the company would invest 467 billion VND, adjusting to 1.100 billion VND in the Long Duc Industrial Park covering 281 hectares in Long Duc Commune, Long Thanh District.

The development of site will begin to construct buildings in the summer. The infrastructure will be maintained around the summer of 2013 for this industrial site.

The property service provider predicted the industrial park segment will attract more attention, especially of manufacturers from Japan in various section like: mechanical, electrical, electronics, advanced materials, pharmaceuticals, school equipment, stationery, packaging, interior decoration, household, manufacturing food ...

Mr Vu Dai Thang, Head of the Economic Zone Management, Ministry of Planning and Investment rated Japanese companies have made positive contributions to the economic development of Vietnam. Sojitz, Daiwa House and Kobelco are large Japanese companies in the construction sector, housing, has extensive experience in the construction and operation of industrial parks.

Moreover, this project also means pioneering, leading to a new wave of investment from Japan to Dong Nai, to Vietnam as desired by the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung during his official visit to Japan in late 2011.
