Aviation security tightened during Party General Secretary’s funeral

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has announced the application of level-1 enhanced security measures at airports, air traffic service providers, airlines, and aviation service companies during the state funeral of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has announced the application of level-1 enhanced security measures at airports, air traffic service providers, airlines, and aviation service companies during the state funeral of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

These measures take effect from 5:00 pm on July 22 until midnight on July 26.

The CAAV has instructed relevant agencies and units to implement appropriate enhanced security measures based on regulations.

The authority has directed airport authorities in regions across the country, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam, the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, and Vietnamese airlines to report the implementation of aviation security measures to the email address at avsec@caa.gov.vn daily between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong passed away on July 19 afternoon at the age of 80. His state funeral will take place from July 25-26./.
