The People’s Committee of the northern province of Bac Giang has approved a funding of nearly 32 billion VND (1.5 million USD) to further improve its IT infrastructure for efficient communications among State agencies at all levels in 2015.
The investment, a follow-up to an investment of 35.6 billion VND in 2014, will help complete the province’s WAN network and ensure all departments and offices are connected to the Data Centre located at the provincial Information and Communications Department.
The completed WAN network will serve as a platform to implement the use of internal software as well as building a directing system which can run on mobile devices.
The province is also making efforts to increase the number of communes with one-stop e-services to 111 in 2015 and improve the one-stop e-service quality at all offices dealing with administrative procedures as well as the district people’s committees.
The integration of e-services and system data throughout the province is also under way.
The committee also said that the province had created a new e-portal working as Citizen Sub Portal providing e-services for citizens and enterprises, and as an Officers Sub Portal, allowing civil servants to participate in the province’s e-government system.
Bac Giang currently has developed LAN networks at 225 out of 230 communes, wards and towns, equal to 97.8 percent, and those networks at all departments and offices.
All districts and 13 out of the province’s 18 departments have one-stop e-service. All communes are connected to the high-speed internet.-VNA
