The northern province of Bac Ninh on September 16 received a range of medical equipment under a project funded by the European Union (EU) and the Government of Luxembourg to improve medical services in Vietnam.

They include 126 medical imaging machines, 1,116 testing equipment and 13,765 key medical tools which will go to the provincial preventive medicine centre and 126 health stations in local communes, districts and towns.

All medical stations in the provinces are now equipped with ultrasound and cardiogram machines.
To effectively use them, two training courses of ultrasonic scanning were opened to over 80 doctors. They also received certificates after graduation.

The project worth nearly 5.2 million EUR(6.78 million USD) is now underway in three northern provinces of Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Ha Na.-VNA
