Bangkok to host Thai-Cambodian Border Committee meeting

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Thailand is ready to host the Fifth Meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Border Committee (JBC) during February 13-14, to discuss the survey and demarcation of the common border, according to the National News Bureau of Thailand.

The news agency cited a Ministry release as saying that the meeting will be held at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Bangkok , where Mr. Bundit Sottiplarit, head of the Thai team, and his Cambodian counterpart, Mr. Var Kim Hong, Senior Minister in charge of State Border Affairs, will discuss the progress of bilateral efforts on border demarcation.

The official opening ceremony will be held on Feb.13, and a press conference will be held on the following day at 14.30 hrs, after the JBC meeting is concluded./.
