Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue hosted a banquet in Hanoi on December 6 evening for his Lao counterpart Saysomphone Phomvihane and the Lao NA high-ranking delegation who are on Vietnam visit from December 6-8.

Hue affirmed that amid complicated and uncertain developments in the region and the world, loyal and close-knit sentiments between the two countries and their people never change.

Saysomphone expressed his delight at visiting Vietnam after being elected as President of the ninth Lao NA. He spoke highly of the results of his talks with Hue in the morning the same day as well as a seminar sharing experience between the two legislatures.

The leaders wished the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, States and people would be everlasting.

On the occasion, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung presented 5 billion VND (217,000 USD) in support of Laos’ fight against the pandemic./.
