Becamex Infrastructure Development Company (Becamex IJC) listed 54.8 million shares on the HCM Stock Exchange on April 19, making it the first company of Becamex Investment & Industrial Development Corporation to go public.

The IJC share, the 249th listed code in HCM City , closed the first session at 36,000 VND, up all 20 percent – the maximum preferential trading band permitted for the first listing day, with a total of 764,420 shares changing hands worth 27.5 billion VND (1.45 million USD).

Becamex IJC Company, which specialises in construction and property trading, has a charter capital of 548.39 billion VND (28.8 million USD), of which Becamex Investment & Industrial Development Corp holds 75 percent stake.

Another shareholder, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), holds 4 percent stake, while IPA Investment Corporation and Vietnam Dragon Fund Ltd hold 5.93 percent and 6.63 percent, respectively.

Becamex IJC owns several property projects, each of which will earn an estimated profit of more than 100 billion VND (5.3 million USD). They include the 2.5 trillion VND - (131.6 million USD) valued Becamex City Centre, which is due to be completed in 2015; and the Sunflower Villas Complex, which has an investment of 1.1 trillion VND (57.9 million USD) and is due to be completed in 2012./.
