Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich on Dec. 1 visited Ho Chi Minh City as part of his official visit to Vietnam.

Meeting with leaders of HCM city, PM Mikhail Myasnikovich expressed his impression of active development and socio-economic achievements of the city in particular and of Vietnam in general.

He said Belarus always considers Vietnam as a strategic partner in Southeast Asia and expressed his belief that this visit will bring many opportunities for the two countries to boost cooperation in many fields, especially trade and investment.

He said Belarus will create favourable conditions for the two countries’ enterprises and encouraged Vietnamese businesses to invest in a trade complex in Minsk city to put cooperation between the two sides into practice.

Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan said that the city will try its best to boost the Vietnam-Belarus traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation, firstly in education and business between HCM City and Minsk .

Quan and Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee also signed a cooperation agreement for the 2012-2014 period between HCM City and Minsk .

The same day, PM Mikhail Myasnikovich attended the Vietnam-Belarus Business Forum. He affirmed that Belarus will be the best partner for Vietnamese enterprises.

He said that Vietnamese goods entering Belarus , which is in eastern Europe, will easily enter many other European countries.

The PM also witnessed the signing of cooperative agreements between businesses of the two countries.

In the afternoon of the same day, PM Mikhail Myasnikovich and his entourage left Ho Chi Minh City, concluding an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, from Nov. 28-Dec. 1./.
