Belgian worker party delegation visits Vietnam

A delegation of the Workers’ Party of Belgium (WPB) led by the Head of the International Relations Department, Baudouin Deckers, paid a working visit to Vietnam from Dec. 6-12.
A delegation of the Workers’ Party of Belgium (WPB) led by the Head of the International Relations Department, Baudouin Deckers, paid a working visit to Vietnam from Dec. 6-12.

The delegation held talks with Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, on Dec. 9.

At the talks, Quan applauded the delegation’s visit, expressing his gratitude to Belgian communists and people for heartfelt sentiments and valuable support to Vietnam in its national liberation, construction and defence cause.

Quan stressed that CPV always attaches importance to developing and strengthening cooperative relations between the two parties and peoples. He said he hopes that WPB will further affirm its role and position in Belgium and Europe .

Baudouin Deckers expressed his admiration at achievements that Vietnam has recorded in its modernisation process, saying that he considers these achievements as great encouragements for WPB and other forces, which are struggling for peace, democracy and socialism worldwide.

He affirmed WPB will continue to further strengthen and tighten the traditional relations and solidarity with CPV, contributing to promoting the Vietnam-Belgium relationship and cooperation.

During the visit, the Belgian delegation visited Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Uncle Ho’s working and living places. They also made fact-finding trips to the northern provinces of Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh./.
