Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam and Belgium have inked three agreements on enhancing accountable local governance in Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Kon Tum provinces.
Belgium pledged to provide 3 million EUR (3.22 million USD) to implement the projects in target localities over the next three years, according to the Belgian Embassy in Vietnam.
The projects aim to strengthen government-citizen engagement in promoting more transparent, accountable and responsive local governance.
They also look to help the three provinces improve service delivery and increase levels of citizen satisfaction.
Other localities will benefit from experience and lessons drawn from the implementation of the projects.-VNA
