Work on casting of three bells, which will be presented to three pagodas on Truong Sa archipelago, started on May 23 at Bai Dinh pagoda, in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
The three-bronze bells are 126cm high and weigh 326 kilograms each. They are the donations of the province’s monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers towards beloved Truong Sa archipelago.
Also on this occasion, a ceremony was held to celebrate Lord Buddha’s 2557th birthday at the pagoda.
Monks, nuns, Buddhist followers and visitors took part in traditional rituals such as bathing the baby Buddha and praying for national peace and prosperity and happiness of people./.
