Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) offered a donation of 100,000 USD and thousands of gifts to Lao agencies in Vientiane on September 18.

The gifts include 15,000 mosquito nets and 100,000 USD given to the Lao Health Ministry to help prevent dengue fever, and 2,000 sets of computers granted to the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union.

Speaking at the presenting ceremony, Deputy General Director of BIDV Tran Luc Lang said the gifts manifest the business’ responsibility when operating in Laos and contribute to the special friendship between the two countries.

Lao Minister of Education and Sports Phankham Viphavan thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people, particularly BIDV, for their assistance.
