BIDV presents computers to support Lao education

The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) will grant 640 computer systems to the Lao government to assist the country’s education sector.
The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) will grant 640 computer systems to the Lao government to assist the country’s education sector.

An agreement to this effect was signed in Vientiane on April 12.

The granting of computers is meant to give mountainous and remote provinces a chance to gain access to information technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning, said Chairman of BIDV’s Board of Directors Tran Bac Ha.

Lao Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Somsavath Lengsavath expressed appreciation for the bank’s care and attention to his country.

He said he believed that relations between the two Parties, States and people will be strong forever.

BIDV plans to grant an additional of 2,000 computer systems to the Lao government between 2010-2012./.
