More than 250 Danish and Vietnamese artists will take part in a programme to welcome Danish Queen’s visit to Vietnam in early November, according to the Danish Embassy.

Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Peter Lysholt Hansen said this is the biggest cultural event to be held during a Danish State visit to another country.

The programme, comprising 11 cultural activities, will begin on October 28 and last until November 20 in Hanoi, the central city of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

It will see the attendance of the Danish Queen Margrethe, accompanied by the Danish Crown Prince and Princes and Ministers of Culture and the Environment.

The highlight of the programme will be a road show that will be held on November 3 at the Ly Thai To Garden.

The show will feature a cocktail of performances of contemporary and traditional dance and music. It will be joined by hip hop dance troop Danish Uppercut, The Blue Van Band, the Batida troupe, and the Copenhagen trio.

According to the Danish Embassy, the programme is aimed at exchanging artistic activities and experiences between the two countries’ artists and promoting artists’ interaction with the audience./.
