In the first seven weeks of this year, the southern province of Binh Duong attracted an additional 579.3 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) for 36 new and 35 existing projects, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

During February, many foreign investors from Japan and the Republic of Korea made fact-finding tours to the province. They were introduced to the locality’s socio-economy and its industrial park and urban area infrastructure system that prime the province for new investment projects.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung pledged to step up administrative reform to help businesses access related State agencies. Qualified projects can be given licences within a day, he added.-VNA
