Binh Duong hosts potential Japanese investors

At the function, representative from the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Hirota Nakanishi spoke on trends in Japanese investment in southern Vietnam . Marketing and investment expert Kanji Uematsu from the Becamex IDC Company delivered a presentation on a sustainable industrial development model and another on a project to build and develop a new Binh Duong city on an area of 1,000 ha.

Leaders from the Kirin Accook Vietnam Beverage company and the Iwai Plant Tech Vietnam Company shared their investment experiences and highlighted the advantages of investing in Binh Duong.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hoang Son pledged that Binh Duong would continue creating a truly attractive investment environment for foreigners, especially Japanese, in hi-tech and environmentally-friendly projects.

The provincial leaders also introduced Binh Duong’s advantages in human resources and investment opportunities in the new Binh Duong city’s projects.

Binh Duong wants to cooperate with foreign consulates and trade organisations on trade and investment promotions in a bid to further promote its economic development, he said.

The provincial People’s Committee also handed over investment licences to three Japanese companies.

The province has so far attracted 150 Japanese-invested projects totalling over 1.4 billion USD./.
