The operation of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) businesses in southern Binh Duong province has shown positive signs, according to the Vietnam Government Portal.
As of the end of the first quarter of this year, 2,255 FDI businesses are operating in the province with a total registered capital of 20 billion USD.
Over the past three months, the industrial production of these businesses saw a year-on-year increase of 14 percent and accounted for 67 percent of the province’s total industrial production value.
The State revenue from this sector increased 34 percent compared to the same period last year.
Twenty eight FDI projects have had an additional capital of 533 million USD in the reviewed months, accounting for 73 percent of the total FDI attracted by the province.
With the aim of drawing in a total FDI of 1 billion USD in 2014, Binh Duong has created favorable conditions for FDI businesses to develop and contribute to its economic development.
General Director of KuyngBang Vienam Lee Kap Soo revealed that his company has planned to add 54 million USD more to its capital.-VNA
