All enterprises in the southern province of Binh Phuoc have resumed their operation with 40,438 workers, or nearly 100 percent, returning to work after the week-long Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

Binh Phuoc (VNA) – All enterprises in the southern province of Binh Phuoc have resumedtheir operation with 40,438 workers, or nearly 100 percent, returning to workafter the week-long Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

In Dong Xoai IIindustrial park, many factories have reached 100 percent of their productioncapacity.

Vice President of theBinh Phuoc Labour Federation Do Thanh Lai said that many companies wish torecruit more workers to expand their production. A provincial survey showedthat 88 firms in the province’s industrial parks need additional 12,000 unskilledlabourers in 2018.

Meanwhile, the jobfloor under the provincial job placement centre revealed that this year local firmsare in need of 30,000 workers, mostly unskilled labourers in garment andfootwear sectors.

To attract moreworkers, the firms have offered numerous incentives to workers, vowing salary,bonuses and allowances totalling up to 8 million VND per month.-VNA

Vung Tau - Con Dao high-speed ferry reoperated

The high-speed ferry service connecting Vung Tau city and Con Dao island in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and vice versa was resumed on February 7 by Phu Quoc Express JSC after a 5-month suspension.
