The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Animal Health Department has begun to distribute 137.8 million doses of bird flu vaccine to 42 provinces and cities nationwide to provide the first round of vaccination for domestic fowl.
The National Steering Committee for Bird Flu Prevention and Control said on March 23 that the total number of bird flu vaccine doses to be provided for the country’s poultry stock this year is estimated to be about 338.9 million.
The country now has four provinces that have recorded bird flu outbreaks – Tuyen Quang, Ben Tre, Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh./.
