There are now no containers standing idle at the Vietnam - China border. Import-export activities via border gates have become more stable these days, helping enterprises feel more secure about their business.

Economic, trade, and tourism cooperation in border areas are also expected to regain their growth momentum this year.

Nearly 300 vehicles carrying thousands tons of goods pass through customs clearance at the Bac Luan II border gate each day. In the first two months of this year, more than 200,000 tons of goods were exported through Mong Cai city, up 79% year-on-year.

With a view to promoting border trade after a three-year suspension due to COVID-19, Quang Ninh is stepping up efforts to put the Hoanh Mo - Dong Zhong border gate into operation. It will boost the construction of logistics facilities at border economic zones./.
