An affiliate of PetroVietnam, PV Construction (PVC), listed 150 million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) on Aug. 19.

Today’s trading session saw 5 million shares of PVC, coded PVX, changing hands, 28,600 of which were purchased by foreign investors.

The average selling price at closing stood at 24,900 VND per share with the highest being 28,000 VND per share.

According to PVC General Director Pham Xuan Dieu, the corporation posted a pre-tax profit of 70 billion in the first half of the year.

PetroVietnam now holds 87.87 percent of PVC’s charter capital.

The same day, Da Nang Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company and Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, made debut on HNX.

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) welcomed its 190th member, the Development Investment Construction Corporation (DIC Corp.), which listed 60 million shares on the bourse on Aug. 19.

At the first trading session, DIC Corp.’s shares, coded DIG, were traded at 66,000 VND per share.

DIC Corp. is considered one of Vietnam’s leading real estate developers.

The corporation posted a net profit of 208 billion VND in the first six months of 2009./.
