Vietnamese boxers won both gold and silver medals at the recent AIBA Youth and Junior World Championships, held in Antalya , Turkey .

After three rounds of fighting, Vuong Thi Vy, 15, fought back to beat India's Lalfakzuai in the girls' 52kg division, making her the second best boxer at the tournament overall.

Liu Thi Duyen marginally lost to China 's Lili Niu in the 54kg division while Pham Thi Phuong lost to Japan 's Kasumi Saeki in the 48kg division final.

The tournament drew 264 young female boxers from 45 countries and provided the Vietnamese boxers with an excellent opportunity to gain experience in preparation for the upcoming London 2012 Olympics where Vietnam hopes to dominate the flyweight (48-51kg), lightweight (56-60kg) and middleweight (69-75kg) divisions. /.
