The Japanese group Bridgestone has unveiled its plan to build a new 35.5 billion JPY (460 million USD) plant in the Dinh Vu industrial zone in Hai Phong port city.

The plant is expected to be operational in the first half of 2014 and reach full production capacity of around 24,700 tyres per day in 2016.

This is the 50th plant in Bridgestone’s production system in 21 countries around the world.

The new plan will produce tyres for export to the European, North American, and Japanese markets after the increase of capacity at Bridgestone’s plants in Thailand and Indonesia can not meet the market demand./.
