British band roars into Tiger beer’s art festival

British band I Am Giant were the main attraction at Tiger Translate, Tiger beer’s annual art festival held in Da Nang on May 25.

I Am Giant consists of Shelton Woolright (drummer) and Paul Mathews (bassist) from New Zealand and two young Britons, Ed Martin (vocalist) and Max O’Donnell (guitarist).

The band have become popular for their combination of alternative and melodic music, using a mixture of drumming and bass to create melodies.

Their first EP, City Limts, was a hit across Europe as well as New Zealand .

At Tiger Translate, they were joined by two well-known local acts, Microwave and Unlimited.

Tiger Translate is an annual multi-disciplinary initiative sponsored by Tiger beer to explore new creative platforms for Asian artists and artistic activities in Asia .

Held around Vietnam , it seeks to introduce the best of Asian arts to the world and in turn help Asian artists access Western arts like music, graffiti, fashion, illustration, animation, design, and photography./.
