Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – Thai Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchanarat said Buddha relics and statues from 13 countries will be brought to Bangkok for a blessing ceremony during the New Year.
Vira said the relics and statues will be present at a cultural procession on December 29. They will be on display at Sanam Luang until January 1, and then move to the National Museum until January 15.
The artifacts are coming from Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Japan, Indonesia, India, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Thai relics will also be included in the blessing ceremony.
This is one of the 13 cultural activities scheduled for Sanam Luang, temples, and museums across Thailand.-NNT/VNA
