Burial services held for war heroes

The remains of 17 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who lost their lives in the neighbouring Laos and Cambodia during wartime were laid to rest at a cemetery in Ngoc Hoi district of the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on May 15.

A team specialising in thesearch for those remains of the provincial Military Command found themin a campaign during the 2013-2014 dry season. Fifteen were uncovered inCambodia’s Rattanakiri province, while the remainder in Laos’sChampassak and Attapeu provinces.

The same day, a solemnceremony was held at a local cemetery in the central province of QuangTri to bury the remains of 11 Vietnamese war heroes who died in Laos’sSavannakhet province during wars against France and America.-VNA
