Ho Chi Minh City businesses have earmarked more than 6.6 trillion VND (314.4 million USD) to stock up for Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays which will fall on early February.


The money was nearly 1.3 trillion VND (61.9 million USD) higher than last year, according to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade.


It included around 3.5 trillion VND for goods to be sold under the city's annual price-stabilisation programme, or more than 20 percent higher than last year.-VNA
