The 2019 Spring Calligraphy Festival is taking place at the Van (Literature) Lake next to the Temple of Literature, Hanoi, providing a space to reflect on ancient culture and feudalism.

Sixty calligraphers are displaying their writing skills and give calligraphic works to visitors.

Visitors have a chance to admire 30 beautiful works created under the theme "Culture" to encourage the learning spirit, rise of the younger generation and contribute step by step to improve the aesthetic level and the understanding of calligraphy art in mass audience.

The festival also includes folk games, traditional music performances and a handicraft fair showcasing products made from silk, lacquer, pottery, rattan and ornamental plants.

This year it will run until February 17.-VNA
