Phnom Penh (VNA) - Cambodian Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak attended consultations between ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) held recently via videoconference, reported Cambodia News Agency AKP.

The event was part of the 53rd AEM Meeting, which was held on September 8-9.

The Cambodian minister thanked ASEAN-BAC and the Joint Business Council (JBC) for facilitating regional recovery from COVID-19 and congratulated progress made to enhance the ASEAN Economic Community.

He also spoke highly of mutual cooperation and support for economic recovery, calling on relevant agencies to utilise lessons learned from existing action plans to inform new ASEAN initiatives.

At the event, the ASEAN BAC informed the AEM of priority and progress in the implementation of its projects this year to share at the upcoming ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2021 chaired by Brunei./.
