Phnom Penh (VNA) – Indian warship INS Kamorta with 170 crew members on board recently docked at Sihanoukville port for a visit to Cambodia.

The visit, taking place from November 24-27, was an international naval activity in Cambodia’s waters, aiming to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

It was also part of the activities to commemorate 25 years of the ASEAN-India Dialogue, said Indian Commander Nithin Cariappa, adding that the visit was a signal of the real historical ties between the two nations.

For his part, Cambodian Admiral Tea Vinh said the cooperation between Cambodia and India is moving forward, especially in exchanging experiences and strengthening maritime security in the region.

Since 2013, 15 Indian navy ships have visited Cambodia in a bid to boost bilateral ties.-VNA
