Laos and Cambodia have exchanged measures to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in numerous areas, including trade, investment, security, culture and education.

The measures were mentioned during the talks between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Lao Prime Minister Thoongsing Thammavong, who paid an official visit to Cambodia on March 7-8.

The two sides pledged to urge relevant agencies to complete the border demarcation and landmark planting on schedule and promptly implement land transportation services between the two countries.

At the talks, PM Thoongsing Thammavong said the Lao government was keeping a close watch on the situation at Cambodia-Thailand common border and will make every effort to help ease the tension between the two countries.

During his stay in Cambodia , the Lao PM also met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Senate President Chea Sim and National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin. He took the occasion to make fact-finding tour of several cultural facilities and vocational training centres in Phnom Penh./.
