Cambodia serves over 13 million tourists during traditional New Year holidays
Cambodia received 13.2 million domestic and foreign visitors to its resorts and tourist destinations during the Khmer New Year (Sangkran) holidays on April 14-16, according to the Ministry of Tourism.

He noted that while the opening of the 10th anniversary Angkor Sangkran in Siem Reap was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife Bun Rany, additional Sangkran events were held in other provinces and the capital, drawing large crowds of trevellers.
The ministry's spokesman Top Sopheak said on April 17 that the high number of holiday-makers was the result of an improved COVID-19 situation and excellent infrastructure improvements.
Cambodia is expected to attract more than 4 million foreign tourists in 2023, doubling the figure of 2.2 million it received last year./.
