Hanoi (VNA) - Cambodian Defense Minister Gen. Tea Banh will meet with his Thai counterpart Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon this week to discuss cooperation along their border, according to a statement released by the Cambodian Defence Ministry on February 11.

The two ministers will meet at the 14th General Border Committee Meeting, to be held on February 14-15 in the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh, the statement said.

"Both sides will hold talks, focusing mainly on strengthening and enhancing good ties and cooperation between the two countries' armies, especially in maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development along the border," it said.

The statement added that the annual meeting would also be a good opportunity for the two ministers to work together to resolve challenging issues along the border for the interests of the two countries and peoples.
