Phnom Penh (NNT/VNA) - Cambodia and Thailand are planning more cooperation in the tourism sector, Cambodian Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said after his meeting with Panyarak Poolthup, newly appointed Thai Ambassador to Cambodia, early this week.

In the meeting, Thong Khon asked the Thai side to help Cambodia in human resources training in the field of tourism because Thailand has a lot of experience in this sector.

Thailand is a tourism hub in ASEAN. It attracts annually over 30 million foreign visitors.

Last year, nearly 400,000 Thai tourists visited Cambodia, while 700,000 Cambodians went to Thailand.-VNA
