Cambodia to probe corruption allegations against CNRP deputy head

Phnom Penh (VNA) - The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of Cambodia on March 24 accepted petitions lodged by several students who accused deputy head of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) Kem Sokha of corruption, reported the Khmer Post.
ACU Chairman Om Dintieng announced the decision after a two-hour meeting discussing leaked audio recordings of Sokha making lavish promises to his purported mistress.
Dintieng also affirmed that the recordings are truly that of Sokha’s voice.
According to the ACU, Sokha filed personal asset declarations in 2011, 2013 and 2015.-VNA
