Cambodia welcomed more than 3.7 million international arrivals in the first ten month of 2014, likely to fail the set target of 4.7 million foreign visitors for the year, according to Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.

The figure represented a 10 percent rise year-on-year, lower than the level in previous years.

The growth of foreign tourists to Cambodia this year is slow due to political troubles in neighbouring Thailand early this year and tourists' concern over the Ebola outbreaks.

During the period, Vietnam topped the list of countries with visitors to Cambodia with some 630,000 arrivals, followed by China with 440,000 arrivals.

Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said the country will organize the Sea Festival 2014 in the coastal province of Koh Kong this December to attract more visitors.

Cambodia is famed for two cultural sites in the World Heritage List, including the 12th century Angkor Wat Temple and the 11th century Preah Vihear Temple.
