– Thai Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul have met her Cambodian counterpart Thong Khon in Bangkok in the first Cambodian-Thai Tourism Ministerial Meeting.

According to a press release by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, both sides have agreed to enhance the implementation of a memorandum of understanding between the two tourism ministries. The agreement provides for the facilitation of travel and tourism transportation, the joint tourism marketing campaign "Two Kingdoms, One Destination", tourism investment, cruise links, and human resource development.

The two ministers also discussed health tourism. Kobkarn agreed to allow Cambodian tourists to stay in Thailand for up to 90 days per visit to seek health treatments.

Last year, Cambodia welcomed more than five million foreign visitors, of whom 350,000 were Thai nationals. During the same period, about 700,000 Cambodian tourists visited Thailand.-VNA
