An anthology of short stories on girls and women by a Canadian female writer, Elizabeth McLean, will be published in Vietnam within the month in celebration of the 100 th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

The anthology, including 17 stories written by fifteen prominent Canadian female writers, will be introduced to Vietnamese readers by the Embassy of Canada and Vietnam Women’s Publisher.

“This year, Canada celebrates International Women’s Day with the theme “Girls Rights Matter”, focusing on the importance of equality and access to opportunity for all girls and women throughout their lives. This theme encourages us to reflect on the situation of girls around the world, said Canadian Ambassador Deborah Chatsis.

She also said that the anthology represents a successful collaboration between Canadian and Vietnamese women, adding that 17 short stories with diversified contents will lessen the difference in culture and perspective between the two countries./.
