Cao Dai Cau Kho-Tam Quan sect holds congress

The Cao Dai Cau Kho-Tam Quan sect on April 28 held its third congress, the 2010-2015 term, at the Tam Quan church in Tam Quan town, the central province of Binh Dinh.

Representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission and local relevant agencies attended the congress.

The congress reviewed the Cao Dai Cau Kho-Tam Quan sect’s activities over the past term and passed an action plan for the 2010-2015 term.

Le Gioi was elected as head of the sect’s executive council for the new term.

For more than 50 years, Cao Dai Cau Kho-Tam Quan sect has guided its followers in both religious practice and social obligations.

So far, the sect has three representative boards at the provincial level and 24 chapters in eight cities and provinces. The sect’s followers and dignitaries have actively participated in socio-economic and in their cultural activities, localities, fulfilling their duties as citizens.

Addressing the congress, representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and Binh Dinh authorities praised the sect’s contributions to the locality and expressed wishes that the sect’s executive council would continue to guide followers and dignitaries to play a greater role in the development of the province and the country as whole./.
