Caodaism branches, organisations meet for exchange conference

Representatives from eight branches and 10 organisations of Caodaism and more than 5,000 Caodaism followers attended the third Caodaism exchange conference in the Mekong delta province of Ben Tre on March 24.

The conferenceheard reports that last year the Caodaism Missionary branch helpedflood victims in central Vietnam and built gift houses worth more than3 billion VND while the Caodaism Minh Chon Dao branch provided freemedicine, financial assistance and seedlings worth almost 2 billionVND. The Caodaism Bach Y Lien Doan Chon Ly branch provided freemedicine and rice worth over 646 million VND to flood victims.

All branches and organisations agreed to continue their humanitarianactivities this year and register to donate around 10 billion VND onthese activities.

Representative of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs TranThi Bich Nguyet welcomed the organisation of the annual conference,which she said, proves the unanimity among Caodaism followers.

She also highlighted Caodaism’s social activities and called onCaodaism branches and organisations to uphold their patriotism,actively respond to the government’s social campaigns and strictlyfollow the State’s laws and policies in order to build a prosperous andhappy country./.
