The cashew sector expects to have a total output of 400,000 tonnes with value of 1.2 billion USD this year.

Of the figure, exports will account for1 billion USD, which could place the country at the top of the world’scashew exporters, according to the Vietnam Cashew Association. The country now has more than 450,000 ha of cashew plantations and more than 200 cashew processing plants.Last year, cashew exports reached 177,150 tonnes worth 846 million USD,up 7.1 percent in volume and down 7 percent in value compared to 2008./.

Quang Tri province mobilises resources for fisheries infrastructure

The provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to prepare an investment proposal for upgrading and expanding the Con Co storm shelter in Con Co special zone.
