A number of key power projects in the Central Highlands have started running, said the organising board of the central region power projects.

These works included the 220kV Se San 4 transformer station and the 220kV Se San 4-Pleiku transmission line.

The station, which was built in July 2008, aims to connect the Se San Power Plant No. 4 and other small power projects with a combined capacity of around 135 MW to the national power network

The 220kV Se San 4-Pleiku transmission line is running from the Se San Power Plant No. 4 through Iagrai and Chu Pah districts of Gia Lai province to the 500kV Pleiku transformer station.

The 60.5km line was built at a cost of more than 206 billion VND by the National Power Transmission Corporation.

Late last month, a 220kV transmission line, which connects the Buon Kuop and the Buon Tuasrah hydro-electric power plants in Dak Lak province, was put into operation.

The line, together with the 220kV transmission line from the Buon Tuasrah hydro-electric power plant to the 500kV Dak Nong transformer station, has helped facilitate regional hydro-electric power plants’ integration into the national grid.

The project has a total investment capital of almost 70 billion VND./.
