The Central Highlands province of Dak Nong on Dec. 17 held a conference to announce projects in need of investment and incentives for investors.

Over 200 domestic and foreign businesses flocked to the event to consider the list of 61 projects with a combined investment of some 36.4 trillion VND (roughly 1.96 billion USD). They included 14 agricultural projects with a combined investment of 3.1 trillion VND and seven eco-tourist projects capitalised at 20.8 trillion VND.

Interested investors were assured of simple administrative procedures and lowest rates in land prices under the Government decision and exemption or reduction of land use levies.

The local administration also offered financial assistance in infrastructural construction, ground clearance costs and human resource development.

Businesses, however, wanted more from the central and local Governments as shown in their proposals for stronger aid in credits, industrial crop farms zoning and forest planting in service of the processing industry.

At the event, the Dak Nong provincial administration handed licenses for investments in five projects capitalised at almost 1.63 trillion VND (roughly 87.91 million USD), including a polyclinic in the southern Central Highlands district of Dak Mil, an eco-logical tourist site and a waste treatment facility./.
