Central rate raises 11 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on February 17 announced the reference rate for the Vietnam dong against the US dollar as 21,895 VND per dollar, up 11 VND compared with the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on February 17 announced the reference rate for the Vietnam dong against the US dollar as 21,895 VND per dollar, up 11 VND compared with the previous day.

The rate gained 34 VND over the past three days.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 22,551 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,239 VND per USD.

The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) posted the buying and selling rates at 22,375 VND and 22,445 VND per USD, up 75 VND from the day before.

The Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) raised the buying and selling rates by 60 VND, posting the exchange rate at 22,290 VND and 22,380 VND, respectively per USD.

The buying and selling rates applied by the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) were also up 37 VND and 65 VND, respectively, at 22,295 VND and 22,455 VND per USD.-VNA
