The central city of Da Nang on January 2 welcomed 600 foreign tourists who arrived on board the Azamara Quest ship.
Meanwhile, the Sai Gon Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) has brought nearly 1,000 visitors to central cities of Da Nang and Hue from Jan.1-5.
In addition to the usual sightseeing schedule, tourists will be feasted on the occasion of the new year.
Earlier, Da Nang city also received 150 Japanese visitors on December 31, 2009, who travelled on the first Fukuoka-Da Nang charter flight. Apex Vietnam Company and Song Han travel company plan to launch four more charter flights for Japanese tourists in 2010.
