The association’s Chairman Pham Thanh Pha said that more community activities will be organised to collect donations for people with disadvantages, particularly children, in Vietnam .
At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Norway Le Thi Tuyet Mai thanked the overseas Vietnamese for their support for their fellow citizens and said she hopes for more similar deeds from them.
At the first gala in 2011, the association raised 10,000 USD for children in northern Dien Bien and Bac Giang provinces. The same amount of money was collected for children in southern Kien Giang and Long provinces at another event in 2012.-VNA
