Charity programme supporting handicapped, orphans launched

provide assistance to the handicapped, orphans and Agent Orange victims
on the occasion of the Lunar New Year was held in Hanoi on February 4.

Themed “ Spring for the world of children”, the event was co-organised by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), the Association in Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO), the TTV programme, and the “Beloved Four Seasons” fund under the Hanoi Olympia School.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of ASVHO Nguyen Dinh Lieu expressed his hope that the programme will give generous individuals and organizations in Vietnam and internationally the opportunity to alleviate burdens faced by the disadvantaged groups.

It will run until March 28.-VNA
