Chiang Mai Province will host the 50th Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions' (ASOSAI) Governing Board Meeting and an international seminar on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Office of the Auditor General.

The Auditor General Pisit Leelavachiropas on July 23 discussed with the Vice Governor of Chiang Mai Nawin Sinthusa-ard and head of the related agencies the preparations to host the 50th ASOSAI Governing Board Meeting and the international seminar on the occasion of the Office of the Auditor General’s (OAG) 100th anniversary in Chiang Mai.

The meeting and seminar will take place during February 11-19, 2016 with participants from ASOSAI’s 42 Asian member countries. The event aims to strengthen cooperation of the OAG with domestic and international agencies. The OAG's staff will be promoted to enter an exchange programme to learn on organizational moralities, that will enhance officials' readiness to operate on the international stage.

The Auditor General has said that Chiang Mai Province has been selected to host ASOSAI Governing Board Meeting, due to its beautiful natural scenery and traditions, values that are considered a great accommodate to this meeting.
