Forty five children representing over 160,000 ones in central Kon Tum province convened at a forum co-held by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Vietnam and Kon Tum’s Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs on July 20-21.

At the forum, local children gave out their opinions and messages reflecting their views on the climate change and environmental issues.

They offered their suggestions, including the whole society’s joint efforts to protect nature, environment and forests, plant trees, minimise wastes, and prevent wars and arm races in order to keep the earth’s air clean.

Through their music performances and plays, children reflected the results, challenges and measures in implementing children’s rights at their localities.

They also mentioned issues of concerns, including the reality of street children, child workers and drug addicts, and even their dislike of learning due to boring curricula, poverty or unfriendly school environment.
