The Chinese Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection, Li Gan Jie has affirmed that China will strengthen cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in environmental protection.
Addressing the China-ASEAN Workshop on green industry cooperation and development held in Beijing on Nov.25, Li Gan Jie put forward several initiatives aiming to further cooperation between China and ASEAN including finalising a China-ASEAN environmental protection cooperation programme, enhancing exchange and cooperation on green industry policy and environmental technology standard system and speeding up mutual recognition of environmental products and low carbon products
The workshop participates said China and ASEAN share the need for cooperation in environmental protection and there is plenty of room for them to work together in this field./.
